5 DAYS BWINDI GORILLA TRACKING IN UGANDA

Introduction

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is an amazing place which is home to great giant apes, the Mountain Gorillas. These apes can only be found in Uganda and 2 other countries globally. These threatened animals can best be tracked from nowhere else but Uganda, which is home to over 50% of the remaining world population. Bwindi offers the best place for this unique experience that fulfills all the efforts you go through while tracking these animals in their wild habitant when you encounter these human brothers of the wild.

Summary

Bwindi lies in southwestern Uganda with mist-covered hillsides, as one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rain forests as the name insinuates to be impenetrable. This forest dates back over 25,000 years and is home to almost 400 species of plants. Its fame is derived from being home to an estimated over 320 mountain gorillas, which is more than half of the world’s population. Other 120 mammal species are also present including baboons and chimpanzees, elephants and antelopes etc. It is also home to around 350 species of birds.
